Very windy day on the big boat. Storms approaching, pressure dropping, wind gusting. Perfect fishing weather!! I can't say it was an epic day but I caught fish. The biggest was a little over 20in. The rest were 12-17in. All went back in the lake today. Cut shad was the primary bait although I started with chicken hearts and caught a few but more and more the cut shad took over. Santee-Cooper rigs also proved to be the rig of the day, elevating that bait just a little off the bottom.
I picked up some bait for my next kayak trip so between that, catching fish and just getting out on the lake it was a good day.
