Plan, what Plan!

This was a learning trip. I had good weather and good pressure for what I thought would be a productive day in my spot. I hooked my best fish of the day almost immediately but it was slim pickens from there. After paddling around for several hours with barely a nibble I decided to drift towards the house. The wind was in my favor so I figured why not. As I drifted out of the deep area and up onto a flat about 4ft deep my fish finder lit up with activity and not surprisingly I got several good take downs. One did not hook up but the other did and just like that I had another good fish in the boat.
I continued the drift all the way back to by starting point and caught another half a dozen fish. 1 or 2 were decent size but most were small. What this told me though was that the pressure and temps I was looking at more than likely pushed the fish up into shallower water especially as the day went on and the sun warmed the shallower areas. This is something I will have to remember in the future.
